PRESCHOOLERS & UP: Zoo phonics, hands on math and science, age-appropriate toys, games and music, stimulating group and individual activities, thematic projects, arts and crafts, cooking, field trips and more! (See curriculum below)

PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

I use a Professional Preschool Curriculum designed for children ages 3-5 years old as well as one adapted for children 18 months to 36 months!

This program is wonderful and provides a complete learning experience to include: Letters, numbers, colors, science, cooking, field trips, math, building self confidence and learning how to be a better person, theme units and more!

Examples of other programs I like to implement in addition to the Professional Program:

  • Zoo Phonics-a kinesthetic reading and spelling program
  • Hands on Math and Science
  • Thematic Unit Activities
  • Occassional Christian Bible Stories and Songs
  • Alphabet Cooking-Once a week cooking project coordinated with letter of the week

Goals of the Curriculum

  • To provide a positive sense of identity and emotional well-being
  • To develop age-appropriate social, physical, language and literacy skills
  • To encourage thinking, reasoning, questioning and experimentation
  • To provide exposure to the arts and encourage creative expression
  • To demonstrate proper health, safety and nutritional practices
  • To respect gender, age and cultural diversity

As school progresses and the children adjust to their new classes, we will try to provide you with continuing information regarding our program. We will keep you informed of field trips, holidays, curriculum and other important information through our newsletter and classroom bulletin board.

Typical Daily Schedule

My schedule is flexible and may vary depending on the needs of the children. Your child will need to be dressed appropriate for outdoor play everyday. Outdoor play will be part of our daily routine, weather permitting.
